Job Posting: Crisis Phone Operator 

Duties:

  • Support, assess, monitor and offer referrals to those in crisis including assisting agencies and families where needed

  • Provide follow-up and network with appropriate resources (families/schools/referral agencies)

  • Database entry and the updating

  • Community networking

Candidates must have:

  • Proven ability to work under highly stressful situations

  • Flexibility to work varying shifts. (24 hr. coverage)

  • Strong computer skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • A valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.

  • Clear criminal record, must submit to security clearance

  • Must successfully complete Crisis Intervention Training (provided)

Duties:

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Performing all Outreach services

  • Database entry into internal program

  • Community networking

Candidates must have:

  • Flexibility to work varying shifts

  • Human Service Certificate or proven experience in the field is preferred

  • Strong computer skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • A valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.

  • Clear criminal record, must submit to security clearance

  • Must be able to lift a minimum 30lbs

  • Knowledge of Indigenous culture and history preferred
