About KUU-US Crisis Line Live Chat & Text
KUU-US Crisis Line offers emotional support and crisis intervention to people in emotional distress. KUU-US Crisis Line is available 24/7.
If you are in suicidal crisis or emotional distress and KUU-US Crisis Line’s chat/text service is not available or is “offline,” please call the KUU-US Crisis Line at 1-800-588-8717. If this is unavailable, please call the Canada Suicide Prevention Service at 1-833-456-4566.
If you or someone you know is currently in the act of harming themselves or someone else, or if they need immediate medical attention, please dial 9-1-1.
Obscene or abusive language is not permitted and will result in termination of chat. Repeated abuse can result in blocking future chats.
Voluntarily Provided Information by the Visitor
We do not collect personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it to us when you sign-in to KUU-US Crisis Line Chat/Text. If you provide your telephone number or other information for contact or other use by the KUU-US Crisis Line operator, this information will be stored in your record by the crisis center.
Privacy and Security
We take your privacy and security very seriously. Security controls, including encryption and authentication, are in place to ensure the protection of your information. Any information provided by you or collected on you will only be shared or disclosed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

If the Chat Operator concludes that you are at imminent danger of harming yourself or others, the Chat Operator will request your contact information (i.e. telephone number and/or address) so they can attempt to provide you with additional assistance, including sending local emergency services to you. As a visitor, you may refuse to provide this information If however, the Chat Operator still believes you are at imminent danger of harming yourself or others, they may use other information available to them (e.g. your IP address) to help local emergency personnel locate you to provide you with further assistance.

KUU-US Crisis Line makes no guarantees as to the accuracy or quality of the information found on third party websites. Should you choose to rely on any information located on these third party websites, you do so at your own risk.
